The following transcript and translation was done by Winter_Stargirl:

Host (voiceover): When filming a long series, besides having a lot of members in the cast, the behind-the-scenes crew also has to be very important. Here we’re talking about the about-to-be-filmed, sixty-episode series, The Changing Times. TVB will co-operate with CCTV for the first time.

Stephen Chan (high executive of TVB): Very delighted that this series is sixty episodes long, it’s been a while since making such a long series, and besides filming in Hong Kong, we will also film in many cities of China and also Canada. And the most special thing is that for this series, we will be airing it with CCTV in the entire country. The cast and crew are both very happy because when this series airs, there will be at least fourteen hundred million able to watch this series. Everyone should give a round of applause for this number!

(Everyone claps politely)

Host: In order to make this a grand event, TVB’s Stephen Chan and CCTV’s Mr. Ma signed a contract for the series at the press conference. And this time, the actors of the series will have many new experiences, for example, having to learn to speak Mandarin.

Joe Ma: We speak Cantonese when we’re filming this series, I think

Jessica Hsuan: Yes … actually I wanted to speak Mandarin, because two weeks ago I went to a bookstore and bought a set, I think it might be for foreigners, but it’s called “Learn Chinese” and I bought the whole set and was going to learn it, but then I was told that I didn’t have to speak Mandarin.

Host: As to Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam’s characters, they will be acted from young to middle-aged.

Charmaine Sheh: We have to act from twenty-nine years old till …

Raymond Lam: Forty.

Charmaine Sheh: I’m thirty-nine!

Host (Interviewer): One year apart!

Raymond Lam: I act from twenty-six until … that is, my present age, until forty. I really –

Charmaine Sheh: Would you have to wear a fake moustache?

Raymond Lam: I know don’t, I’m scared – I don’t know …

Host: You don’t look forty at all!

Raymond Lam: Looks and also acting …

Charmaine Sheh: Make his face all wrinkly!

Host (voiceover): As to Third Brother (Michael Miu) and Sheren Tang, they also have their first time!

Michael Miu: First time working with Sheren, I’m very happy to be able to be a couple and hopefully I could learn more things off her.

Sheren Tang: Third Uncle!

Michael Miu: Wah!

Host (Interviewer): Why isn’t it Third Brother, but Third Uncle?

Sheren Tang: When he teases me I call him Third Uncle!

Host (Voiceover): Third Brother changed into Third Uncle and Myolie Wu changed from chubby back to a pretty, young girl.

Myolie Wu: It’s right, yes. Does everyone think that I’ve gotten prettier?

Host (Interviewer): Very good!

Myolie Wu: Because I’ve changed my hairstyle (Host: Mm hmm) and it’s a great help, actually, and because I’ve lost weight again, and I dress differently this time, yeah. Well I think it’s actually great fun, acting, because if you have different clothes, a different look, different body shape, you can become another person.

Host (voiceover): But when it comes to the happiest people, it would be Ng Wai Kwok and Gigi jie, because the two of them haven’t worked together in thirty years!

Ng Wai Kwok: I never see her much, besides … oh, I remember!

Gigi Wong: When you performed onstage for Su Kim Yan Sau Luk!

Ng Wai Kwok: Yes, performing! We went to Thailand together for a performance and then we just …

Gigi Wong: Lost contact with each other.

Ng Wai Kwok: Once in a while we play some Taiwanese Mahjong.

Gigi Wong: Very little.

Ng Wai Kwok: You taught me how to play Taiwanese Mahjong!

Gigi Wong: Really?

Ng Wai Kwok: I think it was you who taught me how to play.

Gigi Wong: Oh so you’re actually my student!

The Beehive thanks ...
Fung's Label, Raymond's previous official website and its webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been like little losties, without any clue as to where to find Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of 2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I would still always remember it.

52raymond.com, also known as the Lam House. It was my source of Raymond's media. The fans there updated new clips or songs of Raymond's very quickly. It was a brilliant forum, a true home to Raymond's fans. It officially closed on the 1st September 2006, but I would still always remember it.

Vickie. She's my beautiful Net friend with a strong command of the Chinese language and very frequently she helps me with translations. She's also excellent when it comes to graphics and even though I haven't actually used any of her graphics in The Beehive, I still thought that it was worth mentioning.
