Want to see the looks of Hong Kong idols greeting you in Mandarin? TVBS-G is now presenting you with “Weekly Stars” at seven, eight and nine o’clock each night as the Hong Kong dramas air. It will report to you the latest news of TVB artists plus discuss their bittersweet experiences of filming! Ekin Cheng, Bowie Lam, Michael Miu, Raymond Lam, Bosco Wong, Charmaine Sheh and other handsome men and beautiful women will take turns to come on, every artists’ Mandarin-speaking look are incredibly cute! For example, Raymond Lam especially liked speaking in Taiwanese; Sonija Kwok was so embarrassed her face was red; Charmaine Sheh continually stuck out her tongue and pulled faces when she NGed and Michael Miu, who does not normally speak Mandarin, looked around everywhere for a saviour when he came across words that he needed translated. These cute expressions of the artists will appear one after another on TVBS-G’s “Weekly Stars!”

TVB’s leading male Raymond Lam has been promoted ever since he entered the entertainment industry, with heavy roles in series such as A Step into the Past, Golden Faith, Blade Heart and more, with seniors such as Louis Koo, Gallen Lo, Adam Cheng and Liza Wang guiding him along the way. Coming from a wealthy family, he was immediately labelled as “privileged” when he entered the entertainment industry, but Raymond proved to audiences his abilities through action, taking on leading roles one after another. This year, he even expanded his career to Mainland, filming in the Mainland with Taiwanese artist Tammy Chen for The New Breath of Love. The two even had a passionate bed scene and Raymond, who seldom films bed scene revealed his chest, his sexiness surpassing that of Tammy’s.

Born in Xiamen, Raymond’s Taiwanese is very fluent, and even the renowned song, “Ai Pin Cai Hui Ying” didn’t trouble him. And in “Weekly Stars,” Raymond, who likes to use Taiwanese, definitely didn’t forget to use Taiwanese to introduce his series, but in the process got stuck! Worth mentioning is the fact that Raymond had once played a nasty joke on his good friend, Michelle Ye, teaching her a vulgar phrase, “Jia Sai,” and when they were in Taiwan for promotion, he reminded her to use it. Michelle only found out later that the phrase meant, “Eat poo,” and felt angry yet amused at the same time, constantly saying that she was going to make Raymond pay.

The “Weekly Stars” recording that Hong Kong TVB’s highly promoted siu sang Raymond Lam, who was labelled as “Louis Koo’s Successor,” especially recorded for Taiwanese audiences will air next Monday (25th September). The main leads of TVBS-G’s eight o’clock drama, Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion, the “Rumours Generator” Charmaine Sheh, “Attitude Siu Sang” Bosco Wong and “Elegant Beauty” Sonija Kwok also will make an appearance on “Once a Week.” Michael Miu, Myolie Wu, and the cast of the fieriest series of the year, The Dance of Passion: Gigi Lai, Ada Choi, Bowie Lam and other actors, will one by one appear before Taiwanese audiences!

The Beehive thanks ...
Fung's Label, Raymond's previous official website and its webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been like little losties, without any clue as to where to find Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of 2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I would still always remember it.

52raymond.com, also known as the Lam House. It was my source of Raymond's media. The fans there updated new clips or songs of Raymond's very quickly. It was a brilliant forum, a true home to Raymond's fans. It officially closed on the 1st September 2006, but I would still always remember it.

Vickie. She's my beautiful Net friend with a strong command of the Chinese language and very frequently she helps me with translations. She's also excellent when it comes to graphics and even though I haven't actually used any of her graphics in The Beehive, I still thought that it was worth mentioning.
