Rumors earlier have been spreading that Raymond Lam had been late to film "The Drive of Life" (The Legendary Era), made Jessica Hsuan mad and left the scene. It was also said that Raymond had a talk with the executives. After several days of observations, reporters saw that Jessica loves to be the "queen" or yut jie, but she also loves to "tattle-tell". She would often miss her scenes, causing the whole filming schedule to be a mess. Since Jessica is a guarantee that the series will have high ratings, the executives and others chose to remain silent. Poor Raymond Lam who is the main lead, was being picked on by Jessica, and he chose to hide from her for 45 minutes in the bathroom.
Jessica Hsuan last year ended her 13 years of relationship with TVB and changed her contract to be a series-count contract. Even though she's not TVB's "daughter" anymore, but all her series have high ratings. "Dicey Business" , the series that was aired earlier, received high ratings up to 40 points, so she remains being the "yut jie". Maybe because her role is not as big as Raymond's in "The Drive of Life", she always disliked Raymond. During filming, she tried leaving the scene because Raymond was late.
However, one of the crew said that it's one of her scheme to leave the scene, and her goal is to get the executives to expand her role. "She's very smart, and always have little schemes. For example, Raymond Lam being late, to tell you the truth, he's been filming day and night for half a year, so being late is fine. However, Jessica purposely said, 'He's having attitudes now, being the "yut gor"'. Everytime she says that, everyone believes her, and when the executives asked about it, others just told them. Then Raymond had a talk with the executives, because of this. There had been rumors spreading in the past years that Jessica loves to gossip, but she defends herself by saying she's only straightforward."
"I remember when Jessica and Maggie Cheung were filming a series together, they both started with the same amount of scenes. However, Jessica spreaded that Maggie was always late, so the producer cut Maggie's scenes. But actually, Jessica was late before also. She's very good at gossiping!" When the crew member was being asked if Jessica picks on Raymond on purpose, the crew member responded, "Of course! This series is to promote Raymond, of course Jessica would not like it. Everytime Raymond is afraid of seeing her, I pity Raymond."
As the reporters continue to observed, Jessica and Raymond don't have a lot of scenes together; Jessica mainly have scenes with Joe Ma, because they rarely work together, but everytime they are, Raymond would avoid Jessica.
Last Monday, Jessican and Raymond were in TVB City for a scene, maybe Raymond was afraid of complains, he entered the TVB City for make up, and started looking at his scenes. Afterwards, Jessica came in and ignored Raymond without saying hi, so Raymond left.
When they were filming, someone made a little mistake and Jessica was mad. Raymond didn't want to be "yelled" at, so he left the scene. However, the canteen was closed that, and the make up room is locked, so Raymond had to hid in the bathroom for 45 minutes and avoid contact with Jessica.
Reporters had also interviewed the both of them, Raymond didn't answer the questions directly, maybe because he was scolded by the executives.
F=Fung R=Reporter
F: Jessica and I had known each other for a long while, because we used to have the same manager, so basically the filming has been very smooth.
R: Did Jessica yell at you?
F: Of course not, a while ago ...(thinks for a long time)...a while ago she knew that I was filming nearby, she gave me a jacket to wear....
The reporters asked more questions, but Raymond refused to answer, and told the reporters , "I really didn't, don't write anything bad." It seems like he doesn't want the problem to expand.
On Wednesday (March 7th), reporters finally spotted Jessica. When reporters asked Jesscica for her response, she only replied, "I'm talking on the phone, I'm talking on the phone" and quickly left. "Gossip Queen" sure has her own little tricks to deal with the reporters.

The Beehive thanks ...
Fung's Label, Raymond's previous official website and its
webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and
information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been
like little losties, without any clue as to where to find
Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of
2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I
would still always remember it.
52raymond.com, also known as the Lam House.
It was my source of Raymond's media. The fans
there updated new clips or songs of Raymond's very quickly. It
was a brilliant forum, a true home to Raymond's fans. It
officially closed on the 1st September 2006, but I would still
always remember it.
Vickie. She's my beautiful Net friend with a strong command of the
Chinese language and very frequently she helps me with
translations. She's also excellent when it comes to graphics
and even though I haven't actually used any of her graphics in
The Beehive, I still thought that it was worth mentioning.
