Face To Fate Will be Releasing Soon; Showing Revenges and Hatred

Lee Bo Yee (Frankie Lam) is good at fortune telling, has excellent kung fu and wants to be a hero to help others. However, he is stuck in between the sides of good and evil, even having to have a fight with his best friend. In the series, he is in love with someone's wife, and also Yip Mon Sik (Tavia Yeung). Is fate playing him, or is it because of human choices?

Lai Yeuk Yi (Raymond Lam) has a disease passed down from his ancestors (causing him to age in a short period of time). Just by looking at him, he looks like a guy that loves to play and accepts the truth that he has the disease. However, deep inside, he is the one who gives up easily and tries to avoid the truth. Fate chose to let him meet his love, Ying Ye Loi (Selena Li). On the good side, his life is bright with colors and hope, but on the other hand, he has to lose his love, experience sadness and bitterness in life. Is this fate? Or can humans change it?

Full of good and evil, Face To Fate will be releasing soon. And before that, we invited the main characters to talk about their views in fate and their memorable scenes during their filming.

Face to Fate has a lot of fighting scenes. To look more realistic, Frankie Lam had to film it himself, and as a result, he was injured. “That day was a rainy day, it was wet and slippery. I accidentally fell and hurt myself, and we stopped filming for a few days.” Being injured from this series is actually pretty cool, Frankie speaks that he feels embarrassed, but he actually thought that the falling down part was not cool enough. “Anyone who got hurt were either filming dangerous moves or fighting with others, but I fell down myself, so embarrassing." However, Frankie actually paid too much attention into filming so he fell. We should support him.

Raymond's character Lai Yeuk Yi and Frankie's Lee Bo Yee both are very intelligent in kung fu, and at the end they had a big fight. During filming, Raymond had long white hair, is it because he, who filmed many action series, is worried about his series too? “Ha ha! Frankie was injured because of the series, and I had white hair in one night!” Actually, it was because of his character needs, Raymond's fans don't need to worry. “My character, Lai Yeuk Yi is bothered by this disease.” Raymond explains: “That is my look after being sick, later I actually fought with Lee Bo Yi to get the medicine that can extend my life. To know who won, and if I can cure myself, stay tuned and watch Face To Fate.”

Besides the two guys, the two girls, Yip Mon Sik (Tavia Yeung) and Yin Ye Loi (Selena Li) had a lot of difficult action scenes too. Tavia actually wanted to try to fall from a height similar to a 1-2 story building, however the whole crew disagreed. “When I was about to fall, all the crew members were shaking their hands and heads, and was saying it's too dangerous; so I listened to them and put on 'wires'. That scene took more than 10 takes, and I was hung for more than 10 times. It is actually very hard to be a character like this!”

Selena's Yin Ye Loi is a girl who robs the rich to help the poor. When she first started to film this action series, she was very curious in all the filming materials and scenes. She thought the most remarkable scene was when she was hit by her enemy and bounced out. “I can really feel my whole body fly up because of the wind the machine gives, it's like flying a few meters, so fresh and exciting!” Besides actions scenes, Selena thought the love between the characters was very touching; her character Yin Ye Loi became a zombie because she was trying to protect her love one.
Conclusion: Know Life? Accept Life?

Besides that it is an action series, Face To Fate also talks about fate, and whether if fate is controlling everything, or if it is humans. In the series, the “fortune teller,” Frankie, can tell the future, however, his attitude is “know life but doesn't accept life.” He tries his best and works for what he thinks is right. All the characters, in the series or in reality, all think: “Try our best and complete life.”

The Beehive thanks ...
Fung's Label, Raymond's previous official website and its webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been like little losties, without any clue as to where to find Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of 2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I would still always remember it.

52raymond.com, also known as the Lam House. It was my source of Raymond's media. The fans there updated new clips or songs of Raymond's very quickly. It was a brilliant forum, a true home to Raymond's fans. It officially closed on the 1st September 2006, but I would still always remember it.

Vickie. She's my beautiful Net friend with a strong command of the Chinese language and very frequently she helps me with translations. She's also excellent when it comes to graphics and even though I haven't actually used any of her graphics in The Beehive, I still thought that it was worth mentioning.
