Ron, Kevin, Sonija and Raymond’s promotion in Thailand | Thursday, May 04, 2006
Takung Pao Ron, Kevin, Sonija and Raymond’s promotion in Thailand They are too merry to be homesick Ron Ng, Kevin Cheng, Sonija Kwok and Raymond Lam arrived in Bangkok, Thailand earlier to promote TVBI. The fans there were very enthusiastic and they were too happy to be homesick. They stayed there for four days and the paparazzi tried to get interviews with them all the time. Besides having accepted interviews with magazines and newspapers, they also appeared on television, the functions coming one after the other. Even though they have to leave early in the morning and come back late at night, they still appeared very lively, their faces glowing with health. In one of the days they attended a TVB Fan Club Party. The number of fans there exceeded five hundred. Besides singing songs, the artists also played games with the fans. One of the games was a guessing song game, and it was the most popular. They requested for the artists to sing Thai songs and let the fans guess the song name. Due to the fact that their Thai is very poor, the fans laughed so much until their tummies hurt. On the last day of the promotion, the four artists visited one of the orphanages before they left Thailand, hoping that besides brining happiness to the TVB audiences in Thailand, that they can also show some love to the orphans. Ron, Kevin, Sonija and Raymond played games with thee children, and fed them some food, making the scene full of warmth. This trip is Sonija’s first time promoting in Bangkok and she’s very happy that she’s so accepted in Thailand. Raymond thought even though the fans were very enthusiastic, they were also very orderly. As to Kevin and Ron, the two have been in Thailand before either for filming series or shooting advertisements, and this country has left them a very good impression. Apple Daily Sonija’s motherhood comes out, feeding orphans in Thailand A lot of TVB’s series air in Thailand, and so earlier Ron Ng, Raymond Lam, Kevin Cheng and Sonija Kwok were arranged to fly to Bangkok for promotion. When they arrived at the airport, the large group of Thai fans were immediately screaming and shouting. Seeing the four were in Thailand, they went with the Thailand culture, holding their palms together to greet the fans. During this trip, besides seeing the fans, they also took some time to visit one of the orphanages, delivering their blessings. When Sonija saw the orphans, her motherhood came out and she personally fed them food, making the scene full of warmth. Sonija said, “This time is my first time in Thailand, and it’s very rare to be able to participate in such a significant visit.” Besides that, they also attended TVB’s fan club gathering, playing games with the five hundred fans that were present. Kevin stole the spotlight when a large group of female fans asking for autographs surrounded him. Afterwards, the four of them played a guessing song game with the fans, singing Thai songs, but their Thai was very poor and caused everyone to crack up laughing. Ming Pao Ron Ng, Sonija Kwok visit orphans in Thailand Earlier, Ron Ng, Kevin Cheng, Raymond Lam and Sonija Kwok were in Thailand promoting for TVBI. The schedule for their four-day trip was tight, and starting from the moment they got off the plane, they were surrounded by fans. They were organised to attend one function after the other, and besides appearing on Thailand TV, they also accepted interviews with newspapers and magazines. The biggest function was TVB’s fan club gathering. There were over five hundred fans that attended, and the artists played games with these fans, along with singing Thai songs to them, though this only cracked their fans up. Besides promotion, they also delivered their blessings to Thailand’s children, visiting an orphanage and playing with the children. They were also seen feeding the children, making the scene full of warmth. Sing Pao The four stars’ fiery red tornados sweep across to Thailand Earlier, Sonija Kwok, Ron Ng, Kevin Cheng and Raymond Lam arrived in Thailand for a four-day promotion. At the airport, as soon as they came out, the fans went crazy and starting yelling their names – enough to see the high level of support. It was rare that these four artists would get to go to Thailand to promote, so naturally the media were grasping every chance to interview them. In a few days, magazines, newspapers and a television channel interviewed them; practically all the media knew where they were. The functions came one after another, and even though they left early in the morning and didn’t come back until late at night, they still remained looking lively and their faces glowed with health. The TVB Fan Club Party function had the fans most excited. That day, there were over five hundred fans; each of their enthusiasm was like fire. Their laughter, cheering and screams continued for the three hours of the function. Besides singing and playing games, the four artists even sat within the crowds of fans, become integrated with the fans. On the last day of the trip, the four took some time to visit one of the orphanages, delivering their blessings to the children of Thailand. The four played games with the children and even fed them their food, making the scene full of warmth.

Fung's Label, Raymond's previous official website and its
webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and
information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been
like little losties, without any clue as to where to find
Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of
2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I
would still always remember it.
52raymond.com, also known as the Lam House.
It was my source of Raymond's media. The fans
there updated new clips or songs of Raymond's very quickly. It
was a brilliant forum, a true home to Raymond's fans. It
officially closed on the 1st September 2006, but I would still
always remember it.
Vickie. She's my beautiful Net friend with a strong command of the
Chinese language and very frequently she helps me with
translations. She's also excellent when it comes to graphics
and even though I haven't actually used any of her graphics in
The Beehive, I still thought that it was worth mentioning.
