Sing Pao Raymond Lam: Sister-brother relationships are good fortune 
Earlier, Raymond has been filming ancient series one after another, for example Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion and Face to Fate. Last year, he finally got the chance to film a modern drama, La Femme Desperado, which people can now watch every night. In this series, Raymond and Melissa get into a sister-brother relationship with each other – a rather fresh kind of relationship, and therefore getting high ratings. The highest was thirty-six points, with an average of thirty-one points. Of course, Raymond is very happy with this result, and he is confident that the ratings will get even higher. Raymond is in a sister-brother relationship in La Femme Desperado, starring as a couple with Melissa Ng. In real life, Raymond admitted that he does accept women being older than him, and he also feels very lucky. He said, “It’s very hard to explain relationships, but age wouldn’t be stopping anything. Anyway, there’s a Chinese tradition that says that if the girlfriend is older than the boyfriend, then the guy will be very lucky. But she shouldn’t be too much older, three years is just about right!” Raymond is seldom in Hong Kong this year, because earlier he had flown to Kunming and Shanghai to film Tai Chi for three months. He had just finished filming and returned, and has been attending promotions already. Afterwards, he will be leaving Hong Kong for two and a half months to film a new series, 61×57. This series was based on a Taiwanese novel, and Raymond will also be working with Tammy Chen Yirong for the first time. Surely Raymond’s fans will be missing him a lot. Actually, in the past all of Raymond’s series have done very well with the ratings, therefore he is fairly well known in Mainland, too. To be entering the Mainland market isn’t easy, but Raymond has this chance, because many investors of Mainland like Raymond’s series, and out of all the siu sang (leading actor of the lower generation) in TVB, he can be considered as the first to enter the Mainland market. Even though when he is filming in Mainland he doesn’t stay there for long, he still misses Hong Kong, because after all Hong Kong is his root. Raymond Lam: I’ve only got the looks 
Seeing his crush makes him go red in the face In La Femme Desperado, Raymond’s character Chai Fun is in his twenties, and besides working in an advertisement company, he also has a part-time job as a gym trainer. He’s good-looking and handsome, and probably in most girl’s hearts, a Prince Charming. But for some reason, he chooses Melissa Ng, who is seven years older than him. This series has attracted many OLs and mothers, and has even become their topic of discussion after tea. In actual fact, Chai Fun’s personality is very similar to Raymond’s, he is a lively person, not knowing when to stop when he’s doing things, candid, does things straight away, takes responsibility and gets along with other people very easily. Puppy love brings good memories Born with a handsome face, Raymond must be surrounded by a lot of girls, but the truth is actually the opposite. Twenty-seven year old Raymond has only dated once, and the reason for that is that even though he is handsome, he is actually a very shy guy. When he sees a girl he likes, he would want to step closer to her, but before he has even taken a first step, he would falter. He said, “I’ve only got the looks. Don’t be fooled and think that I have a lot of girlfriends. Actually, I don’t even know why myself, but whenever I see a girl that I like, my heart will feel all funny and I’ll go all red in the face. I’d be too scared to go up to her and talk to her, but I don’t even know what I’m scared for!” With Raymond’s first love, it was during study time. He and a group of friends were studying together, and he gradually became lovers with a girl. But they were only together for a short time before the relationship just died. But to Raymond, this puppy love was definitely a good memory. As to why his experience with dating is so little, Raymond laughed and expressed that maybe he is rather slow in this area, plus his criteria is rather high. He said, “Choosing a girlfriend isn’t the same as choosing vegetable. I don’t want to be dating too many times, every time I wish that it would be the last time, and so I never get a new relationship. But everyone, you shouldn’t worry, I will work hard, but during this period of time my career is more important, relationships can come afterwards!” Raymond is always being photographed with other females, saying that he has a lot of rumoured girlfriends. After hearing that, Raymond very innocently expressed, “Outsiders always get the wrong feeling that I’m a playful person, when in fact I’m very loyal when it comes to love. Maybe it is because earlier, there were many reports of me having many different female partners with me. At first I was worried about the audience believing me to be a playboy, with a very fancy love life, but now I know that the audience knows what is real or not, and plus now I really don’t have time for relationships. This period of time my career comes first, because the company has given me many chances. Even though my results aren’t bad, they are not the best and I hope that I can do better to repay the people who have supported and loved me. Also, there are still a lot of things that I want to try, such as singing and movies.”

webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and
information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been
like little losties, without any clue as to where to find
Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of
2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I
would still always remember it.
