(Note: This article is from like quite a long time ago...Feb 3rd><")
Raymond Lam who is being promoted by TVB is filming "The Legendary Era" busily, however, he still took time to shop with his Mandarin speaking relatives in Central IFC for new clothing. Raymond who became their image director picked out a bunch of expensive clothing, however, the relatives thought the price was too expensive. Raymond saw and quickly chose two shirts and bought it for them. Afterwards, the three of them went to "Lane Crawford" to continue to shop, and Raymond purposely kept his head down and maintain a distance from his relatives.
Different Attitudes
Raymond lam, the one wearing a beanie, was with his relatives at "Lanvin" for new clothing. Because there weren't a lot of customers, Raymond and the relatives were exchanging thoughts about the clothes and jewelries. You can see that besides being their "image director" and chose clothes for them, Raymond also helped them fix their sleeves, etc. Around half an hour later, the relatives chose their clothes, however, they didn't buy it because the price was expensive. Raymond Lam then decided to buy two simple shirts for them, as a little gift.
After shopping at "Lanvin", Raymond and his relatives went to "Lane Crawford". This time, there were quite a lot of people there, so Raymond purposely kept his head down and remained silent. He walked quickly to keep a distance with his two relatives too, showing his cool side. His relatives was asking him for comments on the clothing, but Raymond didn't respond and continue talking on his phone. After his relatives chose their clothing, Raymond quickly paid for them and left. Raymond was looking around on a fast pace so people won't recognize him.
Saw Reporters and Left Fast
Suddenly, one of the relatives yelled, "Cousin, I want to eat this!" and pointed at the ice cream shop. Raymond turned around, embarassed, and they went to get ice cream cones.. Soon, some of the citizens recognized Raymond and said loudly, "Raymond Lam is quite tall!" Seeing that he can't hide, Raymond smiled and nodded.
After buying ice cream cones, Raymond said to put the bags into the car first and walked out of the mall, carrying the bags. Raymond put the bags into his trunk and realized that reporters saw him; quickly, he smiled weakly and left.
Famous Because of Father (Purple Box)
Raymond was born in a huge family and was originally taking architecture in United States. In 1998, he was at a dinner with his father and the aritst manager Chan Kwoon Ming wanted him to join TVB. Afterwards, Raymond joined TVB Training Class and was extras in many series, until his background was revealed. HIs father, Lam Wah Kwok, had estate, architecture companies in Mainland and had the name of "Xiamen Li Ka Sing". After knowing his background, Raymond was promoted by TVB and in 2003, he won "The Most Improved Actor Award" by the drama "Survivor's Law".
Caption 1 (Purple Box) : Raymond's image was very "corny", but after being promoted, his image starts to change.
Caption 2: (top left): The Mainland relative used his sleeve to wipe his lips just like others from Mainland, while Raymond walks slowly to keep a distance from him.
Caption 3: (the one with red arrow): His relatives wanted ice cream and Raymond was "forced" to walk in with them, but didn't want to be near them. Nobody would even know that they are relatives.
Caption 4: (big picture): Raymond Lam who is super busy still took time to shop with his relatives, however when Raymond found reporters nearby, he smiled weakly. Why was he embarassed? Ask him.
Caption 5 (Right): TVB's siu sung Raymond Lam has the look and the background, no wonder he didn't want to walk with his relatives. Wonder if Raymond introduced the relatives to Linda Chung, his rumored girlfriend. (Note: That's why Linda's picture appeared.....><") Caption 6: (bottom left): Raymond says, "Let's go!" and left quickly, leaving his relatives behind. Caption 7: (bottom middle): When Raymond placed the shopping bags in his trunk, the two relatives licked their ice cream cone like little kids. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vickie: I owe you guys this article><" Thanks for being patient...=) Hope you enjoy it! It's quite interesting....*WINK*...Lane Crawford...expensive man.. EDIT** new set;]

The Beehive thanks ...
Fung's Label, Raymond's previous official website and its
webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and
information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been
like little losties, without any clue as to where to find
Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of
2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I
would still always remember it.
52raymond.com, also known as the Lam House.
It was my source of Raymond's media. The fans
there updated new clips or songs of Raymond's very quickly. It
was a brilliant forum, a true home to Raymond's fans. It
officially closed on the 1st September 2006, but I would still
always remember it.
Vickie. She's my beautiful Net friend with a strong command of the
Chinese language and very frequently she helps me with
translations. She's also excellent when it comes to graphics
and even though I haven't actually used any of her graphics in
The Beehive, I still thought that it was worth mentioning.
