Ultraman Themesong | Friday, December 15, 2006
TVB WEEKLY 494 Artistes’ Relaxation Zone – TV Blog Raymond Lam: After recording the song I’ll be flying to Beijing to film a series. This time’s trip will involve filming some car racing scenes. Even though I only have a license for an ordinary passenger car, I’ll still try to drive the racecar! After all, it’ll be a new experience! You wouldn’t normally get to drive in a rally! Image 1: Every time you have to have first listen to the loudness of the music then adjust the headphone volume, this is very important! Image 2: The person facing the back is my good partner, Chi Wai. It was all thanks to him that I could finish recording so quickly in 45 minutes! Image 3: The song is to match the storyline, so its heavy in techno and the mood is exciting. I only saw the lyrics once before I recorded the song; luckily they weren’t tongue-tying. Since it’s a song for little kids, I have to take care to pronounce each word clearly; otherwise the kids will learn incorrect pronunciation and be confused as to what I’m singing. Latest Diary Singing a Themesong for his Idol At the moment I’m in Beijing, filming location shots for The Legendary Era. I know that the weather has been changing dramatically in Hong Kong lately and that it’s very easy to get sick, so you guys must take care of yourselves! Earlier when I was still in Hong Kong, I recorded a new kids’ song. The last song that I sang for kids was called Violently Dragon and it’s already a few years old now. I was very happy to be singing a kids’ song again, and also this is the themesong for Ultraman, my idol ever since I was a child. The feeling is like becoming a part of Ultraman. I’m singing a song for my idol here, of course I would have to try even harder! On the day of the recording, the weather had just turned cooler and I was really nervous, because my nose allergy is really bad and my voice started to get a bit choky. I was really scared that I’d get sick, and so I drank a lot of water to soothe my throat. Besides this, there’s also something else that I feel bad for, and that was that I never got to practise the lyrics after I received them earlier because I didn’t have time to. Luckily, earlier when I had the My Century Songs concert, I did some running to practise my breathing and voice, and so on the day of recording, I didn’t take that long. In the end, I went into the studio at forty-five past three and came back out at four o’clock, using only forty-five minutes to finish the song. It is a little bit too fast, but it’s all thanks to the producer, Chi Wai. We’ve worked together before, I know what he wants and he knows what I’m like. I’m very pleased with this time’s recording, hopefully adults and children will both like the song! Image 4: In order not to affect my singing, the first thing I did when I got there was to drink water.

Winter_Stargirl: Surprise, surprise! New layout ^^ It's kinda random, but hope you guys still like it! It doesn't particularly match the upcoming celebrations of Christmas and New Year, though; perhaps I can try and make one for Chinese New Year? A gold and red colour scheme?

The Beehive thanks ...
Fung's Label, Raymond's previous official website and its
webmistress, Sasa, for providing so much of Raymond's news and
information. Without FL, many of Raymond's fans would've been
like little losties, without any clue as to where to find
Raymond's news. FL kept us informed and updated for a total of
2 years. It officially closed on the 21st August 2006, but I
would still always remember it.
52raymond.com, also known as the Lam House.
It was my source of Raymond's media. The fans
there updated new clips or songs of Raymond's very quickly. It
was a brilliant forum, a true home to Raymond's fans. It
officially closed on the 1st September 2006, but I would still
always remember it.
Vickie. She's my beautiful Net friend with a strong command of the
Chinese language and very frequently she helps me with
translations. She's also excellent when it comes to graphics
and even though I haven't actually used any of her graphics in
The Beehive, I still thought that it was worth mentioning.
